My Story
My first exposure to the piano came at the age of 8 when my mother, a classically trained pianist, introduced a Baldwin Acrosonic upright piano to our home. At that time, although I did not play the instrument, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to hear my mom play.

My life as a musician began with violin, and quickly turned to drums and by the time I hit high school, I was playing drums in a rock band. It was during my senior year in high school that my attention turned to the piano. During this time, I was discovering recording and song writing, and found it difficult to do this with drums alone. My 1st piano work, humorously entitled "Piano Concerto No. 1" was composed in the spring of 1979.

Throughout my college years, I continued to explore composition as a relief to the intense engineering eduction at the Colorado School of Mines. Somehow during this time, I was able to compose 8 additional concerti - the last being "Piano Concerto No. 9" during the summer of 1984. Upon graduation from college, I went to work in the aerospace industry which allowed me the opportunity to develop my own recording studio.

In 1988, I purchased my very first grand piano - a somewhat rare golden oak Young Chang G-175. My piano work continued at this point, and I included three piano solos on my first compact disc "Silence In Motion," in 1989.
